What Your Motorcycle Color Says About You
You know what they say...blondes have more fun, brunette’s make better lovers...blah blah blah. But what does the color of your motorcycle say about you?
Believe it or not, there is a lot of information in the internet world about what your motorcycle color says about your personality. Pablo Picasso has been quoted to say, “Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions”. So what kind of emotions are you holding within the paint of your bike?
Many companies decide that for you...beings that Hondas are red, Yamahas blue, Kawasaki’s are green, BMWs are white...so on and so forth. When your bike color has already been decided for you by the company that makes it, your bike says nothing more than where you need to get your parts from.
While some people say that black isn’t a color...we say it’s our favorite color. Additionally, it’s the most popular paint job given to a motorcycle...especially cruisers. Many motorcycle companies over the years have tried to sell a variety of colors, but nothing sells as well as a black one does. Black is a symbol of luxury and finesse...and black motorcycles are sexy as hell. So much so that the University of Kentucky found that 36% of crashes involving a driver’s failure to observe a motorcycle and then turning into it’s path involved black motorcycles.
White is the absorption of all light...and is often the concept of purity. Now we can’t exactly attest to that, but can certainly agree that white is the vision of absolute royalty. Kings wear white attire and ride white horses...so I guess maybe we should look into some white paint options…
It has been speculated that red cars get more speeding tickets than other colored cars. But what about that red motorcycle of yours? We’re not sure...but we do know that red screams speed and excitement. Always has, always will.
In general, green has always been associated with luck...but really, green just means Kawasaki. While green sometimes has a calming effect, it blends in with so many other things out there on your ride.
Turns out, men love blue bikes. Blue is associated with loyalty, trust, and security….but also associated with men who are stubborn and like to do things their own way. So, I guess we should also look into blue bikes…
Yellow signifies warmth and happiness! It’s also, obviously, highly visible, giving it the reputation of being an attention-getter, arrogant, and snobbish. But whatever...who’s keeping track anyways? If you’re into yellow, you’re into yellow.
So what color is your motorcycle? What made you choose it? If you could pick any other color to have, what would it be?
